Hydronic radiant ceiling panels have been in use throughout Europe for more than eighty years. In 1986, P.M. (Jack) Twa acquired the licence from Frenger Troughton in the U.K. to manufacture and market radiant panels in Canada. The European market has used radiant panels for heating and cooling because these systems are clean, draft-free and economical. Today, these systems are gaining greater acceptance in North America because of these attributes.

Under the Frenger® trademark, Mr. Twa named the company "Frenger® Canada Inc." and began marketing radiant panels for installations across Canada. Agents who were familiar with the European product were retained across Canada. Architects and engineers soon began specifying the product for their commercial and institutional designs. Mechanical contractors, responsible for the installation of the product, realized that the Frenger® radiant panels were easy to install as they were shipped from the factory fully assembled. This encouraged growth and sales across Canada.

In 1995, the company name changed from "Frenger® Canada Inc." to "Twa Panel Systems, Inc." to better reflect an international market target. In the summer of 1997, after relocating to a new manufacturing facility near Edmonton, Alberta, Jack Twa semi-retired. In its 13 year history, the company has grown from 3 employees to its present number of 20. Product is shipped across Canada, to the U.S.A and to the U.K. Jack's son-in-law, Mark Linde now handle the day-to-day control of the company.

2001 saw the formation of 'TWA Panels UK Ltd' previously a trading name of 'Price Technical Ltd'. After a period of 2 years MD of Price Technical Ltd, Stephen Price, felt that sales were growing at such a rate in the UK that it was the right time to start TWA Panels UK Ltd. This move was to eliminate any confusion with new and existing customers, Price Technical Ltd customers and left Price Technical Ltd free to concentrate on its main business grilles and diffusers.

TWA Panels UK Ltd now has agents all over the UK and continues to grow at a steady rate.
